The bell in Boston's King's Chapel was the largest cast at the Revere
Foundry. It weighed more than one ton. Today, the bell is rung by hand
for all church services and for special occasions.
King's Chapel is located on the Freedom Trail on the corner of Tremont
and School Streets. Relatives of Paul Revere were members of the
congregation at King's Chapel. The back of the chapel contains a
memorial to members of the church who lost their lives in the Civil
War. This list includes two of Paul Revere's grandsons; Col. Paul
Joseph Revere (killed at Gettysburg) and Edward H.R. Revere (killed at
Antietam).
