December 7 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Erich and Janice Steinhagen bring their 18th century craft techniques all the way from Connecticut for a two-day holiday season residency as they demonstrate redware pottery production and the fiber art of spinning in our Revere Room. Erich will be throwing pots on the wheel while Janice spins sheep’s wool or flax into yarn. Finished products will be available for sale!

While the crafters share their techniques on the ground floor of our Visitor Center, R.P. Hale will provide an 18th and 19th century Advent soundtrack in the second floor exhibit space, playing the harpsichord and virginal he meticulously crafted himself based on period originals.

Erich and Janice will also be demonstrating their crafts on Sunday, December 8th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, accompanied by music by Dave Neiman on the hammered dulcimer.
