Holiday Book Signing
December 11, 2021 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Did you know that while New England colonists considered Thanksgiving “the one day above all others” most Congregationalist families like the Reveres did not “keep” Christmas as a holiday? They did, however, often celebrate New Year’s Day by gathering with friends and family over festive food and drink while exchanging gifts like books.
This year we are marking the winter holiday season with book signings by local authors while David Neiman plays seasonal music on the hammered dulcimer in the Revere Room of the Visitor Center. The period rooms of the Revere House are also decorated to reflect patterns of winter holiday usage in the house’s 17th and 18th century history.
Visit us on Saturday, December 11th from 1:30-3:30 pm to purchase a signed copy of Rob Martello’s scholarly work Midnight Ride, Industrial Dawn, chat with Rob about Paul Revere’s work, and hear the music of David Neiman. This book makes an excellent gift along with our robust selection of holiday ornaments, notecards, maps, and colonial games.
This event is free with admission to the Paul Revere House. No advanced registration or tickets required.
